Re: Seem to remember Aye I'm not knocking him I've just not seen anything of him in ages and the Greek league is a bit semi retirementesque
Re: Seem to remember PAOK are currently 2nd in the Greek Super League (although 10pts behind Olympiakos) and still in the Europa League, so they can't be too bad... Its probably one of the 2nd tier of European leagues - along with Holland, Belgium, Portugal and Turkey. Possibly a bit weaker since AEK Athens were relegated last season and are now an amateur side...
Re: Seem to remember Again not knocking Greek footie it's like a lot of leagues beyond the first couple of teams not much quality though as LL is in one of the better teams that's a positive sign.
Yes, they got a free kick on the edge of the box for a shirt pull by Foster, who inexplicably was sent off as a result. They floated the ball into the box and Ricardo Fuller went for an overhead kick, missed the ball completely, and won a penalty. Which Lawrence scored his hat trick from. Horrible b*stard when he came down that day, would love for him to be like that for us.
PAOK are a decent side. This season they were narrowly beaten over 2 legs against Schalke to reach the Champions League, but have been unbeaten in the Europa League. Either last season or the year before, they beat Spurs at White Hart Lane. Lawrence has only played 20 games for them in the 18 months he's been there, scoring 3 goals. But he's certainly got pedigree. Think he can play centrally? I'm sure he played down the middle the day he got that hat trick against us?
Just seen it again, Foster's tackle was a little more than a shirt pull, but still not worthy of a 2nd yellow card imo, especally so soon after the first.
Only played 83 minutes this season, played a fair bit last season http://uk.soccerway.com/players/liam-lawrence/15463/ Suprised he hasn't scored more goals in his career, always thought he was more prolific, especially taking plenty of penalties
