    Who could possibly blame a manager for giving a two-year contract (and trumpeting it as a coup) to a player with a history of fitness "issues" who was offered the chance to earn a deal to play in the Premier League, belly depending, only for him not to be arsed and report back for training overweight?

    Presumably they'd run out of barge poles when we came shopping.

    Of course it was a coup. It hasn't worked out as the player clearly can't take responsibility!
