The next game at Burnley would have coppers everywhere, i feel the reason their was no coppers there in the first place is because they've looked at times gone by and see we've always conducted ourselves in a manor fitting civilized human beings and thought they'll be trouble today lets order less police and save a few quid and if there is any trouble it will be minimal and no skin of our nose.

Me and the wife walked up the road to the carpark opposite the bus station and saw no trouble.

I know it's not nice but pictures or videos of such things posted to club Facebook and twitter sites shames the people responsible to take action.

    Exactly

Every able bodied bloke that stood there and watched their own fans get kicked all over the street, and especially for those that have the nerve to say they watched it happen and write about it on this message board...........should foooking hang their foooking heads in total shame

    Totally DISGUSTED !!!!!!!!!!

............in my opinion the same man (if you can call them a man)........would run screaming and crying and shouting for the police if they saw two guys mugging an old lass

Yes they were but a group of Barnsley fans went past our line. They looked suspect but we have no powers to stop them. They started stirring it further up and then Burnley fans turned on them. Of course the Barnsley fans then headed back to where we were for protection. Couple of our staff assaulted.I was on the Barnsley end - they were very friendly and had some laughs with them Just that group!

    His words

I wasn't at Burnley yesterday so I'll comment in general.

If in any walk of life I see anyone getting bullied, outnumbered, intimidated etc I will step in and do what's necessary. It might involve just talking, intervening or otherwise. Thats just me. I'm a protective sort and if that was my son, mum, dad etc I'd expect someone out there would do likewise. It doesn't make you a thug/hooligan etc IMO it's just how society should react to bullies.

I'd have been off that bus without a seconds thought. Just me like. But I would .

Yes Cunning Stunt, that is because you have obviously got something about you

But the trend nowadays and especially on here is to admit that oneself is nothing but a sniverling wimp.........and the unbelievable thing about it is that others on here then support that view

For fooks sake.........some on here need to MAN UP

My father worked and was a good friend of a really good boxer, sorry I cannot remember his name, and his favourite advice to my Dad who himself boxed a bit was. When outnumbered remember this. He who stops and stays his ground gets his face pushed around. Him who runs and gets away, lives to fight another day. The best muscles are those in your legs. So Nudger it all remains to say thank god you were not there

Aye it's alright saying this from the forum. I have no idea what started the trouble and it's certainly not my place to get involved.

I'd rather look back knowing I'd tried or had made a difference than try and sleep knowing and regretting I could have. We're all different. Maybe its either in you or is not?!?

I venture to the odd man city game one night coming back from a game in London came across some Cardiff fans having a go at some fans (Northampton I think) at Watford Gap I think it was.

Northampton fans looked like the innetweeners on tour and were no match, they obviously wanted no trouble and were in the car surrounded by bigger blokes kicking the car.

No idea what went off but the coach stopped blokes got off and helped out, and helped the inbeweeners on there way.

We can't expect blokes from official coaches to help out but if Outpost, Dove and Courthouse watched this then I'd have thought better, unless the 2 where asking for it.
