I've done it cheaper, but that was setting off at 9ish and leaving London after 7pm. A long day though. £53 on Monday leaving on the 9:35 and coming back on the 19:48 both with Grand Central.

Just done a search for next week and you can get tickets in middle of the day for 40 quid. Where are people looking?

I'm sure you can get tickets for 220 quid if you buy on the day and go at peak times, but why would you if you know when you're going to have to be there. You don't have to pay anything like that.

It’s extremely based on the time of day. You can get a ticket for £15 if you don’t care about the time of day.

MPs generally have to be there for a specific time though.

Obvs politicians and commuters can't take middle of the day trains. They're looking at peak times.

That being said a huge bugbear of mine is Internet on trains. No commuter would care if a journey takes longer, as long as they are able to work. We don't need HS2, we need fast WiFi on trains. Most other countries can manage it.

I need to go on 27th March, these are my options. Granted I've got a railcard, but there are still loads of options available at reasonable prices.

As an example, PMQs starts at noon. It’s about 40 minutes via tube from King’s cross to Westminster. Realistically they can’t arrive after 11. You’re already up to £70 for a one way ticket just going that early. That’s assuming there’s nothing they need to do in their Westminster offices before that.

If you need to be there early you’re going to have to go at peak times though or the night before, which means hotel costs.

And to be clear, these morons are not only dumb Maga Republicans but also your dumb centre/left of centre liberals and dumb Israeli supporters (who shout at anything criticising Israel). Yet he's a doing a Nazi salute, twice, and they're like "Nahh this doesn't count""

Kentucky police are investigating after a series of racist Ku Klux Klan flyers telling immigrants to “leave now” were distributed across the state on inauguration day.

The flyers show a cartoon of Uncle Sam kicking at a family of five, including a baby and two young children. Uncle Sam is holding a document which says “Proclamation” and states: “We need your help. Monitor and track all immigrants. Report them all.”

This is truly frightening. You just have to look at the racist riots here to realise just how dangerous a mob can be, but more so if it's directed at 'enemies' by the countries leader. Anyone who opposes Trump, even tender pleading words from a female Bishop.

We're genuinely looking at fascism lifting it's veil.

That's not racist, I once saw Alan Shearer handing out some leaflets.

After watching the Americans cheering, clapping and whooping over trump, I got to wondering why these lunatics can be that happy about their politicians but our general public look down on our out of touch, weak chancers so much?
Is it because we’re a bit more realistic about the ineptitude of our parliament and rightly expect very little whilst the Americans are a little more brainwashed into positivity and actually believe that their leaders really speak for them?

Thought we were talking about politicians going to London for a few days in parliament, particularly as hotel prices were also quoted, don't really care when you have to be in and out of the office.
