Fück1n in the bushes is an amazing entrance song. If I was a darts player or boxer, I'd want to come out to that. I thought a few years ago that 3 little birds could have become our song after the flitcroft season but that seems to have died out.
I don't think we can take it too seriously though, what some so called 'fans' post on Twitter. I like how the big teams fans try to make a real day/night of it when it comes to a big Champions league game for example. And I'm pleased to see we're making a similar efforts here, to get everybody together, and supporting the Tykes in what is a massive game.
Been suggested a lot in many places, as a song we can make our own, like other clubs do ahead of kick off. I don't know pal. But everything's worth a go, right? It's proper noticeable when you visit the amount of stadiums I have that we really do lack a collection of songs, and that we don't really have an anthem. Unless you count Brazil, which you can only really roll out when we batter someone. I think we're in a period of transition and I totally understand some fans being against it. But the younger element are key, and I hope they take the lead. Absolutely love @granty the red becoming conductor in the Ponty for example. Have fun. Make noise. Let's roll with it and see what happens. The fans have tried 'sitting still moaning' for years. It doesn't work.
Seems an odd choice to try and freshen things up and be more modern, then choose a song over half a century old.
You currently sing nothing just before kick off. So it will hopefully freshen things up. Modern music is tripe also. Yours, Old Man.
when khaled started here he received stick from day 1. no one gave him an inch. the vile criticism he got was both unwarranted and disgusting. he was working for scheisters and he came thru it. he clearly cares about the club and he's trying hard to build something. I'm delighted we have him with us. Problem with many of our supporters is that they're far too quick to criticise and not quick enough to praise. That will never change.
What did work to get the crowd going was Cocoon. Only stopped working when it wasn't played in sync with the players coming out of the tunnel. I have known more fans uptight about the timing compared with those wanting a change.
I’m really looking forward to it. Haven’t seen a game since before Christmas, due to illness. I was in hospital the last two home games and if I was a gambling man, the way I felt yesterday and the day before I would have put my money on being in hospital for this one. But unless something happens in the next 13 hours I shall be in the Ponty. Feeling a bit fragile, and hoping nobody tries to hug me when we score, but I’ll be there and will be wearing my scarf. If I can find it, I’ll give the boy the scarf I used to wear when I was his age. It says on it…Horn, Joyce, Chambers…I think you know the rest!
Can I be a plus one for F in the bushes? Many an Oasis gig it tears the place up before they come on. Have. a great day tomorrow

I have to admit, sitting in a fifty odd thousand crowd when this comes on, something gets in my eye. All scarves held high. Never. Ever. Tear us apart.
