I have been super impressed with these two performances and we've two points more than I expected.

No need to mention ifs buts or maybes.

Perhaps the way I worded my original post was wrong as I wasn't trying to come across as overly negative towards BFC but was more suggesting that why should we care where West Brom and Swansea are in the league, we should be looking to get positive results irrespective of current league position. However, given the reaction on here it's clearly rubbed some people up the wrong way. I'm gutted we haven't got the win tonight having played well for the most part. These young lads are going to be inconsistent, let's just hope Saturday they don't turn in a poor performance.

 

From 0-2 up IMO we should have won the game, end of. I don't know why you've got a problem with me saying that.
To say a draw from that position in the match is impressive is rubbish as expectations should be adjusted according to the situation. Perhaps you're someone that easily accepts mediocrity. Unfortunately individual errors are proving very costly (they have done all season to date). We've played very well for the majority of the previous two games but crucially only have two points to show for it. It's a step in the right direction but don't have a go at people who are concerned as the two dropped points from last night may be crucial come the end of the season.
I don't give a sh*t about West Brom or Swansea and where they are in the League, all I'm bothered about is BFC, recently we've shown with the right attitude and application that we can give it a go at this level and hopefully we take all that into Saturday's game at Huddersfield and come home with the three points.

 

I understand the view that it’s 2 points dropped but ultimately it’s our lack of depth that cost us the points.

I can see why people are criticising the Dougall for Wilks sub but what’s the alternative? You bring Bahre on who tends to give the ball to the opposition more than he does his own team mates & is pretty lightweight & not ideal for defending a lead.

I can certainly see the reason for putting Chaplin in the attacking midfield role ahead of Bahre & aiming to use Wilks’ pace if Dougall had to come off.

Personally I don’t think there was anyone who could replace Dougall & do anything close to a similar job. We’ve started the season with only 3 natural central midfielders in Mowatt, Dougall & McGeehan & it cost us.

The Woodrow sub was strange I agree. I can’t see the thinking behind that one unless he was knackered or felt a strain.

 

Two excellent performances. It would be very Barnsleyesque to follow that up with a stinker this coming saturday and a demoralising defeat. You take the points where you can get em' and results like last night and at home to Charlton get you relegated when you don't back em' up with wins.

 

Absolutely! I may have made that point a bit too strongly for some on here.
