    Over 40 years supporting Barnsley and i used be superstitious but age teaches you it's a load of crap. Same as Friday the 13th if something 'bad' is going to happen it can happen ANY day.

    Well I want them to win, and I think they’re absolutely fantastic. I have never played in the best team in the world at anything, so it would never occur to me to downplay their achievement, or the achievement of any of the teams in the World Cup finals of any sport.
    If there are 32 teams in the Women’s World Cup finals with 23 players per squad that’s the top 0.0000045% of women in the world. Anyone who is achieving in that percentile should be respected and applauded regardless.

    You’re completely right, Luke. Have been watching the Parky tributes. & the sexism accusations come up, about Meg Ryan & Helen Mirren. & I’m thinking, is that a sign of the times, or Barnsley naivety? I don’t think it’s either. It’s nothing they hadn’t already talked about.?
    Having an allergy to sky sports, pay to view etc. I’ll watch anything on terrestrial tv. I like watching kids play on the village green in Wentworth. We stop for a minute & watch, me & the old dog.
    Women playing football. ‘But, they’re all lezzers?’ I bet lads don’t say that, when they’re tossing off on the internet, when their wives aren’t around?
    I’m not getting completely innocent. Watching Alex Greewood bend over, preparing to take another perfect corner kick? Shame on me.. :)
