I'd leave a longer comment but I've rewound the match tape and am going to watch that half again. It was that good.

I think we can safely say that Poya is flexible with the idea of dominating possession.

Most organisation I’ve seen in our defence all season. If we’d been that organised from day 1 we wouldn’t be in the bottom three now. But we need more when we do get it.

Cole struggling to know what to do off the ball, and Frieser can’t keep hold of it. I think Cole might be replaced by Morris or Vic soon enough because without him contributing to the press, we’re asking too much of our midfielders, particularly Styles on that left hand side.

Also see Palmer and our other two midfielders.

Keep in 0-0 until 65 minutes then have a go at them! It’s not pretty to watch but I totally get why he’s started with the defence because in the good old days that lad on the Swansea right would have put about 50 balls in by now, Williams has kept him pretty quiet. Styles has actually looked more like his old self with the ball driving forward. Reasons to be optimistic, that possession stat is eye watering though, not sure we can hang on if we can’t find ways to get hold of the ball on areas that can hurt them.

Remember a month ago when the players were comfortably good enough to be mid table and it was all Schopp's fault?

It'll be interesting to see how things develop.

I think he got disoriented when he approached the 6 yard box. Vertigo attack? Or he get emotional remembering the last time he went there. Nostalgia can do that

I liked Palmer last season but he’s stopped progressing. Hopefully it’s just a temporary thing.

Yes, I also see a team more organised.

Had this Swansea team turned up against us with shopp in the dugout. They would have registered double figures on shots and we'd be more than 2 down (ie the shots they've had tonight).

Can you at least not acknowledge that we have been considerably harder to break down in that 45 minutes than we have all season.

I also acknowledged wed done nothing to warrant any threat ourselves. Cos we haven't

He's been here less than a week.

I'd much use this game as a yardstick that if we do go one goal down, how the team react and how he reacts.

I'd take another half like that and nil nil now

    Is it entertaining no.
    Is it organised yes.
Can we keep that level of organisation and application?....i hope so.
Small acorns and all that....we need clean sheets and we need points.
They are very good...im sure they will just be told "it will come"
We just need to try keep professional.

More organised at the back - tick
    Pressing style back - tick
Worryingly we can’t string 3 passes together and we look toothless with the ball.

I do see a lot more effort, which is great, but I do wonder how much longer we afford a bone idle show pony in midfield in Palmer.

Cole and the Fridge off get Victor and MOrris on .
Before we know it 10 nil to the reds a hatrick to each of the forwards and moon.
First half tactics to lure Swansea Into a false state then they come out thinking they'll kill us.

A bit like Val's approach. Oh, he was a god it seems. Ask a WBA fan and the rest of the football community. The truth is the whole football world held it's breath in disbelief that Basset's crazy gang would actually reappear in the 21st century. Never again. 6 months of surrealism and gone, for ever.
