It seems to me flicker has gone back to the same philosophy we started last season with that never worked and ended with hill getting the boot. He said himself after the Peterborough game they were going to change with or without hill and it turned out being a master stroke and kept us up last season. I'm so frustrated he seems to have gone back to the old ways because he could have been the best manager we've had in years.

Correct Selby. Found a system that worked more or less straightaway. Either by good luck or good judgement. It was a joy to watch. Why change to a system or systems that don't work. Football is a simple game. If it's not broken don't try to fix it. I don't want him to go but if he doesn't revert quickly to the way we were playing Jan to May he deserves to go back to Rochdale as numptys assistant

He admitted it was luck. He said in an interview that it was a tactic and formation that Hill was getting ready to play but Hill was waiting for the international break to train the players in that formation. Flitcroft realised he didn't have until the international break and as he was only caretaker manager with little chance of getting the job full time he might as well just play Hill's new formation straight away without any preparation time. He got lucky and it worked. Thats what he said himself anyway

Not a very good manager? Doesn't know how to replicate the luck?

I agree albatross it may have been luck to start with but it worked and we stayed up so why revert back to what we were doing before Christmas last season? I'm more frustrated than angry walking away from matches these days because we all know how good we can be when we play people in the correction position. Look at the Huddersfield game at home we played well and looked pretty sound at the back and he just seems to have scrapped that for some reason. Pig headed or stubborn he needs to wake up before its to late........

Let's be right, he's always changed the formation round regularly
