UEFA on the ball

Nobodies denying that the miners were not angels on the picket lines .
I was there and had many confrontations with individual police .

But it's the bigger picture of the po!ices role during that strike not the tit for tat incidents .
It's the polices overall presence in such numbers.
As you'll know the violence towards working Miners was far and few between to justify the massive presence and you'll also know the mass pickets didn't materialise before the road blocks etc.
The bigger planning,the political interference the over the top aggression and planning of herding Miners into that field.at orgreave and later at our own pitheads that is being investigated .
It's the planning and execution of duties that is being scrutinised. The pushing at Hillsborough ,at orgreave the neglect and possible aiding and abetting in the Rotherham scandal ,was preventable if the correct procedures were implemented at command level ,
That is what has come out at the Hillsborough inquiry and will be confirmed in the other enquiries also.
