Brian Laws reckons the league is poorer this season than last

Aren't his team doing quite a bit worse this time around? I don't know what he's getting at - unless he wants out....

    He could argue that

Leeds going down were a bigger club than Bristol City who came up and the three that went up are bigger clubs than those that came down.

However as wednesday by his arguement should have improved on their 71 points from last season he is effectively saying Wednesday have got allot worse even than the first impressions would indidcate!

I hoped we'd finish top half

but if someone wouldve said survival and an FA Cup semi at Wembley after beating Liverpool and Chelsea, I'd have snatched their hand off. I think the squad has improved in all areas, we've a much better starting position to build from and if we survive, and keep the squad together with maybe a striker with pedigree and a natural left sided player, my expectation for next year will be a dabble with the playoffs. tonight will be an interesting benchmark, Im guessing Mr D will be saying exactly that to the players ie this is the standard for potential automatic, point to prove etc....

    neither atm

we're doing as expected by most people, i reckon we'll end up 16/17th which will be an improvement to me, especially from what, 20th last season?

ill take moving up 3 places a season anytime.

    RE: overachieved or underachieved

IMHO we have done so much this season to make people sit up and take notice of BFC the fantastic cup run and some great results in the league(I'm biased but winning at Southampton!) . This has to be overacheivement but, given the players belief in themselves and each other plus a manager who I know is only starting out in his career can you not be proud to be a fan of the Tykes! I know I am . A win in the next three out of four will make for an unforgettable season. :$
