Appoint from within. We already have a winning formula and we don't need someone to come in and tinker with it. Also the cheapest option.

I think the only downside of appointing from within is that we'll miss out on a great opportunity to attract someone that we otherwise might not have been able to get. Can't stop winning, chance of promotion and a Wembley final. Good chance for any manager to boost their CV.

Who from within should we appoint? What are their track records that support this. I'm not for nor against but I am trying to work out the logical reason not the loyal emotional one. For example would we see a u21 coach or assistant of another L1 team a viable option?

It might be best to ask Crewe fans how well Davis has done...

The best lower league manager over the last decade is currently employed, plus you'd be looking for someone who can do a job for you in the Championship. Someone like Davis isn't that man, I'd give it to someone within Oakwell until May and see if they can get some momentum. Surely that's preferable to picking someone random from the merrygoround? What's the worst that could happen? I honestly think with momentum you have, someone who the fans and players like within the club could see you reach the top six.

Bring in someone new and you meander? The decision is then questioned before the season is over. Worst case is you meander with someone from within then bring in a new HEAD COACH OF DOOM in the summer, which is fairer on them.

    If I remember rightly.

He said he had sat and watched Barcelona videos for weeks and weeks. Studied style of play etc and adopted it.

I think he went all out attacking but with 433.

It worked. But then he seemed to switch on the daft mode button

Mark Cooper for me, unemployed, a bit more experienced than LeeJay, still young and hungry, tries to play football the right way and wouldn't need to change things on the field at present.
Otherwise appoint from within, Burton and Hecky until the end of the season.

One things for sure though, i would get rid of Wright if LeeJay doesn't take him.

None of them. If they're crap we fire them, if they're good they walk. Appoint from within, Bunny or Heck.

    Great shout Mark

Those would also be my choices and ones that would realistically fit into and accept the clubs new mantra of appointing permanent( ish)
Bodies into key development areas thus eliminating mass disruption when someone leaves or gets sacked IMO.
