There's Park Wall North. Dunno if it's still working, was supposed to complete its run in 2013, but I haven't heard about it closing. Open cast like, but it's still mining.
Depends if you define miners as only those currently working underground. I imagine a lot of blokes wouldn't use that description.
Sorry for not coming up with something more entertaining consider I was apologising if something had been interpreted as offensive. Clown
Are you two fighting properly or taking the piss? I thought you were friends. If it's the former, stop it, you're both far too decent and sensible to carry on down that root. If it's the latter, sorry for butting in.
This is taking the piss. The real fight is going on via text message. Working Class Hero vs. Capitalist ****er, apparently. It's all quite entertaining and far better than doing the work I'm supposed to be getting on with
Fair enough, sorry to bother you. While you're here, what was the name of that pub you used to manage in West London? I always thought it looked smart and we're staying down there in April. I fancied giving it a go. Are you currently running a pub?
I'm behind the workers, whereas Loko is pissed off with Bob Crowe because he had to get a bus the other week and it cost him an hour in the boozer
Don't apologise. Get more sense out of you than him today anyway. The pub was The White Horse in Parsons Green (SW6). I'm not there anymore, but still a great pub and worth visiting. Would also recommend The Coal Hole on The Strand for when you're central, and The Windsor Castle in Notting Hill (plus many, many more ....) Not running pubs anymore as I moved to the corporate dark side. Work in Marketing for the chain Nicholson's - pubs in London, Leeds, York, Birmingham, Manchester, etc.
Cheers Loko. Staying in Chelsea so can get on the district line from South Kensington to Parsons Green. Go to London, spend my time in a pub miles away from it all.
Posted new thread but did not see one had already being posted. Need glasses. They do not make many true, say it as you see it men, nowadays. They are all like politicians, say what you do not mean.
R I P Bob Whatever your politics you have to admire Bob Crowe he was as passionate as anyone I've ever known for the causes he believed in. He will be sadly missed and not only by his family or the RMT, TUC members and labour party members but by anyone who has any social justice and fairness conscience. .
