If you're talking about Brendan then your not the only person who rated him. I absolutely loved him.
Work rate, big heart, and always forward thinking. If we had 11 Brendans playing now we'd be in a lot better shape.

Yeah there's some ludicrous suggestions here in this thread, which is all about differences of opinion of course.
And some of them might actually just be a bit sarcy!.

When ball went over West Stand, is it true he chased it?
He had a reight engine on him.
Not seen many as energetic as him

Pretty much guaranteed to save any one on one from any striker though.

If the lad was four inches taller he’d have been world class. Still think he might have got an England cap if he hadn’t got the injury.

I'm not sure where the stat came from, but in his last season Hammill produced the most assists in the league for chances that were missed by the strikers.

It would be. But he never saw him play. :) Has to be a latecomer.

I didn’t like him. I don’t think Andy Liddell liked him either.

Anyone who said Ashley Ward should take up kabbadi or korfball or crochet, as football clearly isn't for you.

Brendan was never a striker we signed him as an attacking midfielder which he was pretty good at. Straight from the horses (welll Mel Machin’s mouth)

Was it him who we gave the 'headless chicken' tag to lol.
Brendan had such enthusiasm and energy at times, it was like he was quite literally trying to step on every blade of grass.
And more importantly, he scored goals and he created goals!.
And wouldn't we like to see that sort of player in this squad now!.

I always thought Lee Butler, Martin Bullock, Nicky Eaden, Brendon O'Connell, Adie Moses, Chris Morgan, Bruce Dyer and Darren Sheridan were 5hit.

I think on the whole I was right.
