    Watch it you'll get banned

Good analysis. No doubt it will be ridiculed by some.

    Didn't mention money myself

because it should have been obvious to even the simplest buffoon. Its also easily forgotten that at that time we were one of the apparently wealthiest clubs in the division still recently associated with the premier league and getting relatively good crowds. A much more attractive proposition to players than our present status. Your points are well made though.

    Poor Old Davey

I'm sick of hearing how he hasn't been given enough money to spend

He bought the 4th most expensive striker in the club's history

How much do you think de silva was? £50k or summat?

what wages are Hume, Macken, Kozluk and De Silva on??

he's already wasted about 3/4 of a million on strikers

he's been backed and he's spent - some of it well and some it appallingly

    the way some go on

...you'd think Davey wanted to be shopping in the Maltese leagues, what with proven strikers being so cheap, and what with us having so much money - for some reason he chooses to be over there. Why doesn't he just sign Kevin Phillips and get it sorted? :D

In all seriousness, I think comparing Davey to the series of **** managers we had since Danny Wilson (Bassett the possible exception) serves to underline what a decent job he's done with chuff all resources.
