What a load of crap. It is totally fair. What about all the people who have taken advantage (literally) of the free childs places but never, ever bring a child. Should their mate/relative be in front of you in the queue as a regular season ticket holder. Not they shouldn't!
What about people using concession away ticket stubs to qualify for a full adult ticket? Ticket office are going to be busy.
Or even those cheekily using a mates adult ticket to buy an extra kid ticket for their child who never or rarely goes. This new ruling doesn't mention that you can't do other non like for like ticket swaps.
Still waiting to hear this new rule from the club. How do they know who went to the Cup games? I'm going to admit we're getting tickets day three and I'm allowing a mate to have one of my cup stubs. He just happens to be a ST holder by the way. Shoot me.
Are they going to go through any hit and miss database of each voucher F to see who it belongs to? All voucher Fs look the same unlike match vouchers will clearly differentiate between adults and others.
Some of the comments on here beggar belief. The club have learned from previous mistakes and are doing this one fairly and by the book and yet folk are still unhappy. They must wonder why they bother. They should just chuck the tickets from the top of the East Stand and let everyone fight for them.
Out of interest what's your problem with this rule? It should make sure if you have an adult ST you can only buy an adult ticket, an OAP ST you can only buy an OAP ticket and if you have a juvenile ST you can only buy a juvenile ticket, thus making sure there is less chance of STHs trying to help out non season ticket holders at the expense of non season ticket holders waiting next in line if any are left.
My posts only relate to this 'decision' which as yet is only known by people who have read this thread, and also how will they police it? Due to having no reliable database, even if they make this decision there are other associated factors in this buying process that people will get round - like I say, using a mate's stub to get a ticket a day or two earlier than technically you should be allowed. Really highlights need to a 21st century computer system
It's not a problem it just hasn't been announced, and what will these queues be like if they manually check each voucher F? They'll happily accept an upgrade for a home ticket won't they as they get more money then....
It should have been to produce season ticket book, along with cup stubs, and then the club take out voucher F.
Full details now on Barnsley FC site. http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/fa-cup-tickets-on-sale-tomorrow-21022013-669426.aspx Doesnt' say anything about OAP.
Doesn't make ticket stubs clear either. Someone tomorrow might go down with an adult stub from Burnley, OAP stub from Hull and juvenile stub from MK Dons. Are they entitled to a ticket even though all three stubs are different types? If so which of the three tickets they entitled to?
Can get adult with OAP. Ok cutting 'fraud' with kids tickets but as highlighted what about policing stubs.
Lets see how many are sold in the first 6 days..... we didnt sell our allocation for MK Dons and that wasnt broadcast live on ESPN. On a Saturday night.
Re: Lets see how many are sold in the first 6 days..... I'm not sure an away game near London against a League One side in the 5th round is comparable with a quarter final against the Premier League champions just over the Pennines
