    Any other country would be deemed 'A failed state' by America, the simple truth is that the average American is as thick as a submarine's window.
    This situation has been on the cards for decades, Presidents assassinated, Apartheid prevalent and condoned well into my lifetime, an healthcare system that penalises the sick and poor, an education system that mirrors the healthcare system, a capitalist system that created the healthcare/education systems and above all the collective insular belief that the USA is indeed the world.
    Russia, China and other, smaller detractors of America will now be grinning up their sleeves at the irony of America sticking its nose into other countries affairs, espousing the need for democracy, when all the while ignoring it in the land of the brave and free.
    Sad, but inevitable.

    I believe it’s because DC is a federal territory and not a state.

    They don’t have a governor.

    It would have been a bloodbath. I'm astounded that anybody could possibly think that armed BLM protestors would have got anywhere near the Senate chamber if they'd tried the same thing.
