Ive toyed with the possibility of America’s most powerful joining in a plan to oust Trump. Not democratic but special needs need special measures.

As you say though, how do you keep such a big thing under wraps? It would involve so many people from so many organisations.

Maybe many years from now, someone on their death bed............

Oh come on loko it's clear that you did. You have become very good recently at defending him whilst carefully wording your posts so that you can deny you are doing it.

You say that whilst discussing trump being banned from Twitter that you saying you disagree with him being banned and that it shows how twitter are skewing our view etc etc is technically not defending him if it was assessed in a court of law but it's clear that it's what you were doing as you have been for quite a while now on a number of issues

Ok. I think in our case we're a non for profit organisation, with zero revenue, that Gally provides FOC as a service to Barnsley fans. Essentially the BBS runs at a loss. The rules are to keep things respectful so there's a friendly environment, and within the law so that we're not at risk of any court orders. Sometimes, people fall outside of that. and we have to moderate it. It's a thankless task, but I don't believe it's relevant to my comments on a multi billion dollar global corp being able to choose what we see.

Donald trump's tweets broke the law, weren't respectful and created an hostile environment. Twitter moderating that is exactly the same as the BBS doing so

Where did I say I disagree with him being banned? My comments on social media are not exclusive to the US Election. I was talking generally. It's something that has bothered me for months, not just since yesterday. And I'm not actually talking about him being banned - other people are.

You say carefully wording my posts. But I'm not being careful. Just saying it how I would face to face.

Jesus Christ. But I'm not talking about moderation per say and 99% of what I was saying was about Social Media influence. Surely you can see that? I've not defended a single tweet, not once, but you're arguing with me like I have. I haven't defended that he's banned, not once, but you're arguing with me like I have. That's not me carefully wording anything, that's me not saying those things.

I think it's because while you 'havent defended him being banned' you chose the discussion about him being banned to take a swipe at Twitter choosing who and what we see. The connection there is clear.

You still do have to choose to watch them though.

This one? It turned out that allowing him the platform did lead to violence in the end.

It isn't a clear at all mate. Not even close. The inability to separate issues is alarming. But at least you're agreeing I didn't post the things you just said.

Do you not think Social Media algorithms and ownership is something we should be worried about?

I thought you'd be along. Surely my comment about talking about censorship in general being a dangerous path is the the valid one? That isn't exclusively Trump and the election. It's linked to all the other non US election things I've mentioned?

But you don't? You can be on your Social Media platform and have your feed influenced. That's not your choice. Picking up The Sun to read Murdoch rhetoric is a choice.

But I don't have to read that feed. On Twitter I get the tweets of those I follow. Someone like Gary Lineker would give me a wide range of opinions both agreeing or disagreeing with whatever he posts and a lot off the subject.

You did post it. It's in the image above this. You complained about his ban

Not exclusively though. You'll have tweets liked by others, suggested tweets, promoted tweets, etc. Then if you follow lists they can dictate what goes in that list too. It's like the adverts you see built around a website for something you looked at previously.

If you 'Like' brands on Facebook, their algorithm can push them to the front of your feed or hide them in the back and you wouldn't really know.

That post is from 9th November. And was a comment on general censorship.

You were suggesting that censoring Trump wasn't justifiable as it was due to a "political agenda" and not stopping violence. Turns out it would literally have saved lives.

My bad Loko I didn't realise that.

My point still stands though that you do defend him an awful lot but make sure you stay just on the edges unlike casual Tyke. I've no idea why you do that because you don't seem the kind of person to share any views with him

I understand what you're saying and indeed am enjoying looking at the weird and wonderful things I can buy that come up but tbh, I zone out very quickly unless I actively want to pursue it. Adverts have always been targeted.

More footage of the despicable storming of the Senate.
