See. You've nibbled again. He doesn't care who is president. He's a WUM. He's getting kicks out of folk (like you) biting on the internet.

Just ignore. And they go away.

feel sorry for CT, like I always do for the actors who play the baddy at a Pantomime and C T as played a good baddy, if there is such a thing, he is just a bloke who had a bet, took a chance on a silly wager on Trump getting a 2nd term after winning his original bet, sometimes I do it on Stewards enquiries at races or photo finishes even though deep down you know the odds are against it
Somehow he is being portrayed as this big Trump lover, when imho he just a punter who likes some bants,he is the arch bishop of bantabury :)

Indeed there is one thing that seems more odd to me than the post of a person posting in the manner of casual tyke.

It is the post of the person who bothers to respond.

Not 100% right, but certainly the closest assessment so far.

There is a purpose to all this that will be revealed in due course.

It’s not that. He’s got mental health ‘issues’. Nothing wrong with that as He’s openly expressed some of his problems on here. We shouldn’t really be adding to that and could be more supportive.

I genuinely hope he gets the help he needs. It might help if Admin closed off this thread. It’s not adding to any debate/discussion and is only destructive.

Feking Nudger and theReeve wouldn't, they had to be banned. But as you say, just ignore their posts - it deflates them.

I haven’t been on the BBS much today because I’ve been hit with [what I hope is] food poisoning and let’s just say it hasn’t been pretty.

But I’ve just caught up and just wanted to say for the record that I don’t think Loko supports casual tyke here in any way. I’ve been strong many times in my aversion to a lot of his reasoning in this thread and I’ve often gone too far. I regret getting personal in the heat of the moment and I’ve often apologised for that.

There are reasons US politics are impassioned for me which I’ve often hinted at, I have very good friends that were extremely adversely affected by the Trump presidency and by the rhetoric he defecates into the world. It isn’t hyperbole to say that if Trump had got another term, I know for a fact at least one friend of mine would have been driven to suicide. She still might be to be quite honest, his base isn’t going to go away and there’s a reasonable chance they will get even more rabid.

I do however disagree with not calling out the BS conspiracy theories from casual tyke. If you leave it and ignore it, there’s a non-zero chance that someone else reads this thread and sees that without opposition. That’s why it’s dangerous what he’s doing. Even if he doesn’t believe it, which I’m not as convinced as others about, other people in the world absolutely do believe it. This bile getting spread without being called out is what radicalises people.

@Loko the Tyke to be clear. I don’t think you’re a bad person at all and I just wanted to clarify that. I also apologise again for getting personal in this thread. I stand by basically every point I’ve made, but I shouldn’t have got personal with it and this thread would have gone far smoother if I hadn’t.

    I fully agree.
I have friends in America, have visited the place and followed events there closely for the last five years.
It's been shocking to see the damage Trump has done and that damage has come to a crescendo in the last twelve months.
There are surely now tens of thousands of people who have lost their lives to covid there as a direct result of his active role in downplaying the pandemic and mocking mask wearing.
He has done serious damage to the democratic process by spewing lies about a supposedly rigged election and the ramping up of that rhetoric has, this week, directly cost five people their lives.
These things are not laughing matters. They are not something to just ignore and they will go away. As a country that has seen similar rhetoric, polarisation and hatred spreading used in recent years do we think that the UK is in a position to treat the disease that has been Donald Trump lightly? I don't.
