Talk about slow at counting votes. I cannot believe the result still isn't known. They should have counters doing shifts until it is all done. Instead they stop and start the next day and three days on it isn't over.
They would have counted the mail in votes prior to the election, had that not been prevented by Republican administrations in WI, GA, PA and MI, states they knew would be close. It wouldn't have needed to take anywhere near this long, it's a tactical move from the Republican party designed to make it look like something dodgy is going on.
They are sat at a socially distanced table counting votes with a mask on. Picking a president is the biggest decision the country makes and it is only every four years so it seems mental they don't keep counting until finished and that they instead think well that's enough for today let's come back tomorrow.
I'm no Trump apologist, but that's not strictly true. Each state has its own election procedures, some count mailed votes before and some after polling day. There's nothing intrinsically dodgy about it, but you're right that Trump is using this as a smokescreen.
But if it's written in their protocols that that is what they do (i.e. finish at a certain time each day), then that's what they have to do otherwise it's an irregularity.
Only these states actually wanted to count the votes in advance but Trump went to court to prevent them from doing so.
We all know about trump an head case and biden is the worst of the worst a beast. Makes british politics look reasonably sensible this
