Watched a fascinating documentary about Russian hacking and the private military firm Wagner by Alex Gibney last night. The whole Ukraine / Hunter Biden non story is a bio product of the 1st major cyber war during the annexation of Crimea. Trump and pervy Rudy are scrapping the barrel to try and get one last hit from that situation. You've then got Glenn what's his face the journalist who used to work for Guardian trying to make this a story. The NY Post journalist's who ran the story didn't want to put their names to it, they knew it lacked credibility and that it was a misinformation hit job.
“Someone that doesn’t exist”? Google ‘Tony Bobulinski’ and you will find out that not only does he very much exist but he was a senior US Naval Officer, making him a very credible witness with plenty of damning evidence that has been corroborated by the US Department of Justice.
If NBC says it’s fake I suppose it must be. Personally, I take subjective media reporting with a pinch of salt and examine the evidence for myself to reach my own objective conclusions. Have you seen any of the Hunter Biden videos? Russian misinformation at its finest!
According to the Telegraph today, the average poll lead for Biden is 10% and he is polling over 50%. On states with a clear poll lead, Biden has 290 electoral college votes (270 needed) - even Texas could go Democrat! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/10/30/us-election-polls-2020-live-tracker-who-win-biden-trump/ Saying that, Clinton and Gore both won the popular vote and lost the election.
The republicans are literally changing the rules mid election to try and rig things in their favour This is just outrageous and I cant see how its possibly legal
After Biden's comments on fracking I don't think he has a chance at all of turning Texas blue. Stranger things have happened, but closing down over 1 million jobs isn't going to endear you to a state like that. Would be like Barnsley voting Tory in the 80's. It's going to be a lot closer than people are suggesting but I think Biden will win. Voting intention vs. reality is difficult to judge in the modern world so the average polls mean less each election, especially when it's such an extreme right/left like things are these days.
TBF to Trump there’s also his horrible habit of using unnamed sources to tell lies. Basically if he starts a sentence with ‘many people are saying’ it means ‘some conspiracy theorists are saying, this is unprovable, it sounds like I’m endorsing it but legally I can get away with it’. It’s cynically dishonest, and I don’t understand why it’s not commented on more.
It happens on both sides though to be fair, but we only ever demand that it's fact checked on on the Republican side because that's what dominates their media and our media. It's just an issue with politics in general is dishonesty and saying things with no substance or a play on words. What CNN did with the Mike Pence video at the hospital was absolutely shocking. And was covered by one of those prime time Saturday night shows as a comedy sketch to make fun of it, when it wasn't even true. Jimmy Kimell or someone like that.
Apparently CCP have David Cameron and Boris Johnson in their pocket if you like a good conspiracy theory......
Is privet equity the same as hedge funds? Are they ring-fenced? But in all seriousness why are you linking this crap? That last tweet in particular is clearly anti-semitic and disgraceful.
Exactly FR, how is it legal. Also how is it possible. Surely the "rules" for a General Election are set up beforehand
I agree it's sickening. It shows that people believe things. They see the likes of Russia and China wanting leaders to stay in power forever without elections. Think that the virus was man made and think powerful people around the world are purposely making life rubbish so if they bring in UBI the 'people' will forvever be in debt to those who bail them out. Look at some of the replies to this with MSM pushing the UBI idea......
The tweets are a products of troll factories. The amount of crazy videos out there at the minute shows just how gullible folk are. The more outlandish the claim made against the people you dislike the more they're believed.
Same as every QAnon and anti vaxxer. if there’s a sentence that means ‘I’ll believe any old sh 1t’ it’s the above.
Along with anyone that uses any of the following words and phrases: “MSM” “free-thinker” “patriot” “wwg1wga”
Of course some of it happens on both sides. And the reason we need to fight to stop Murdochs attacks on the way British media works. But it’s Trumps complete modus operandi. I’m far from an expert on US politics but anyone who can’t see what Trump is, is deluding themselves for a reason. How we end up with 2 ancient corrupt powerful idiots as a choice for the highest office in the world reflects badly on the country and its education and election systems.
But I don't understand the point in quoting the popular vote? It's essentially meaningless. You can absolutely argue that the way they record votes, seats, etc. is wrong. I've no opinion on that as I haven't really thought about it before, but it's a bit of non-event in terms of what it proves/disproves isn't it? Biden could win by 10 million votes, but that could be driven by certain states turning from 60/40 in favour of blue to 90/10. The end result is all that matters.
I'm no Trump fan but I agree that pointing to the popular vote is meaningless. Those weren't the rules and neither party was campaigning with the aim of winning the popular vote. It's a bit like losing a football match and then pointing to the fact you had more shots on target.
