This is word for word from a speech yesterday.

‘The weave’ he’s referring to is what he calls his ramblings.

The really sad thing is whoever wins the "leaders of the free world" will continue to have ridiculous gun laws, high murder rates, no workers rights, restricted health care for the poor.

If I lived the US I'd not really care who is president when the things that matter don't improve regardless.

Sigh...... Please read my first post, mate. I've already said the 'but Trump this and that' posts are pointless because he can get away with virtually anything and still get support. His supporters will say he said peacefully and patriotically and they went without guns so its not an insurrection and hence why he hasn't been charged with insurrection. The other side will say what you say.
But a lot of Americans just don't care about that anymore. Every single lie or exaggeration plays exactly into Trumps 'they're all out to get me' plan.

He didnt say Cheney should be killed. He just didn't. The media reporting it this way is only going to help him. Cubans strong women comment and Bidens garbage comment certainly wouldn't have helped either mate.

Like I said before, Shapiro would have hammered any Republican and pretty much guaranteed pennsylvania and won the election at a canter.

I honestly just think they're just playing into Trumps hands now mate. Harris is a shocking candidate and I think they've cocked it up not having a primary. Newsom, Shapiro and Whitmer all would have been much better picks.

Harris is going to walk this election. Trump is past his sell by date, he couldn't have done a worse run in if he tried

You really think so? All the polls are so tight and trump beat the odds in 16. I'm less confident but I hope you're right.

Caveating that I know next to nothing about the voodoo of US elections and caucuses and senates etc.

Harris will win the "popular vote" by a long way. Only W Bush has won it as a Republican since 1988 - and he was an incumbent with the 9/11 factor.

Trump might win the electoral college, although if the rumours from Iowa and Florida are correct, he could be in for a proper thrashing.

Whether it is true or not, Elon Musk apparently offered to give his fortune away if Trump lost. Which would probably add another federal charge to his growing list.

That’s the only thing that matters though, innit? A Trump defeat will almost definitely result in another kick off, but a Trump victory will be a whole lot worse

Trump doesn’t lose, he either wins or it’s stolen from him. That’s what him and his cult will say

If the GOP had any other candidate then trump they would have walked this election. As it is, they will probably lose, but they have forced the democrats further to the right - policies on helping the poor have been ditched. Much like here!

Policies like tax cuts for everyone earning under $340000 per year? Legislating against price gouging by companies? Limiting the cost of prescription drugs? Protect Social Security and Medicare? Invest in child care and social care?

Not sure how they specifically help the richer members in society.

(For comparison, Trump will reduce taxes for the rich, increasing taxes for the lower and middle class to pay for them. Introduce tariffs - which hit the lower- and middle-classes more than the rich - and last time cost the government $20bn to stop farms going bankrupt)

Interesting how Americans seem to dwell on the different classes.

Not like we do here. Glad we are a true meritocracy and anyone can become PM or a member of the royal family without the nasty problems of their parents needing to be millionaires or having to qualify for Oxford University...

Im not sure that’s true. I think that Trump has attracted votes from people that previously had no interest in politics. Trump runs on a mixture of victimhood, fearmongering, faux Christianity and rubs along with conspiracy theories. In short he saw an opportunity. I’m not sure regular Republican politicians could appeal in the same way.
