Although things didn't go well I found it difficult to be critical of Flicker this season because of what he did at the end of last season. I agree you can assess a manager on a match to match basis.

 

I think a lot of people felt the same but enough was enough.

 

Yes, sacking Flicker was one of those decisions you are glad you didn't have to make yourself. As I look back over the many managers who have come and gone I have an affection for Flicker and Wilson the others were ships that passed in the night.

Well that's what I thought, but you seem to be saying otherwise in your earlier post.

 

Even Andy Ritchie? Came across as a top bloke and got us out of a terrible league with a team that overachieved on ability. I'd not class him as a ship that passed in the night.
