My mates who go every year actually say it’s better when the bands have finished. They may as well get out of their tents at 11pm.

Wouldn't agree with that but anyone who goes regularly will probably agree that it's about so much more than the bands on stage. No other Festival gets close on the overall package - like the stuff that goes on after dark.

I went in 2000, Bowie was how I imagined he would be. Fantastic!

So Bon Iver may have been lost on my 7 year old but, in a similar vein to @Jay 's Van Morriston post I'd urge everyone to skip to the last track on the Bon Iver steam. About 43 minutes. It might not be for anyone but I'm sure a few will think it's incredible

Great video that , both enjoying themselves! Saw Sugar in Manchester and Grant Hart somewhere in Leeds and neither did a lot of smiling.

Saw Grant Hart solo at the Duchess once, think it may have been Nova Mob. Wasn't great TBH, can't remember him doing any of his Husker Du material. Bob Mould has done a lot of interesting projects.

Ahh that was the gig I was at, only word he said all night was “fook that”. Ok that could be 2 words. Shame cos I really liked some of the Nova mob stuff.
