https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/english-twenty20/table The best NRR and a gap between us and 5th. Beat Derbyshire tomorrow who are 5th and we will look really good for the quarter finals. Just need to avoid 4th so we don't likely have to play Surrey at the Oval. We've never played them in twenty years of the T20 despite being the biggest two counties and let's keep it that way. Special mention to Barnsley lad Shutt for his three wickets. It's hard for him to get game time but for the 50 overs cup in August he should get to play most games as the usual suspects will be busy with the Hundred.
Unlike Yorkshire, they seem to usually come up with good overseas players but I don’t know who’ve they are getting or have got ? Can we sub loan Shadab to them ?
Fizzled out into a crawl at the end there. No power batting to finish yet gain! These high paid coaches don't seem to learn. Yorkshire's record playing Derbyshire at Chesterfield is akin to the Reds at Coventry. I'd happily take the heavens opening for a couple of hours now.
Not sure they know what good news is. Good news would be for it to be rained off so we keep three ahead of them.
How is it fair if they halve the no. of overs needed to win the match that you still get to keep all your wickets?
It isn't Helen - rain reduced target for them should be a cakewalk with ten wickets in hand let alone a wet ball for Yorkshire's spinners and a deadened wicket. Totally unfair. Leech should have bowled the 4th over though, he was unplayable in the 2nd and getting Masood and Du Plooy early was our only chance,
The flipside being if 9 out of 11 batters didn't flop we would have reached 200 and set Derbyshire a bigger score.
That wide was disgusting umpiring - the batter went two yards wide of off stump. Having said that we've then slit our own throat giving 'em 3 from a misfield.
