    You could also say that about lancs. When we needed 5 off 2. With the last no ball. And a couple of dropped catches near the end.
    Disappointed not to win. But great finish to the game.

    Damn, so near yet so far. Great work from Brook and TKC. Not keen on the Lancies slowing it down at the end and probably our last three overs bowling cost us in the end.

    First no-ball was dubious but there was a clear one missed before that and a really bad wide that we should have had.

    God awful commentators but great entertainment on the field.

    traditional folk slag this format but it's great entertainment and we usually do crap in it, the tonne is a gimmick with no real allegiance to a team so the prime month of august is focused on that and the 2nd string 50 over game, i just don't get it? even read lords can't sell the test match game!

    Good game though, hate to admit it but probably a fair result, they dropped a few and we lost our way a bit when a boundary or two would have been handy.

    Hard to be too hard on Brook but he should have been seeing it like a beach ball at that stage. Just put some bat on it and scarper.

    Totally agree. I'd play T20 in August with a tenth of the marketing that the Dumbdred has had and it would be fantastic. Bin the Dumbdred, play 50 overs at the start and end of the season and County Championship can then take pride of place in May/June/July alongside the Tests so that players can go back and get some practice if needed and new ones can be selected in form.
