I think young English players have a few good games and get a sense of bling and it all goes tits up from there. Where as foreign players come over wanting to make a name for themselves, coupled with the language barrier they just get on with it.

From what I can see, Janelt has only played 20 odd games, the vast majority in the German second tier. That's about on a par with number of appearances that Callum Styles has made.

Point is, I hope he brings something that Palmer, Wolfe, Odour, Styles, Christie-Davies do not bring, because he's not bringing a great deal of experience, and we have lots of players that play the same position that are a similar age.

Only suggestion I've seen of us trying to sign him is from a fake Nixon account. Doubt we're even looking at him.

Linked with Brentford this morning, so I’d cross him off the list/spreadsheet...

That’s that then. Would be annoyed if he was a striker, another name linked that ends up elsewhere

Totally agree. Have to say I was greatly impressed with the progress Styles appears to have made
when we saw him against Coventry City on Saturday.

If he maintains that type of performance week in and week out, it's won't be too long before one of
the top teams comes knocking and we all know what the possible outcome will be when that happens.

Conversely can't fathom why Cauleys suddenly gone off the boil. On Saturday, he missed what for him,
would under normal circumstances have been relatively easy chances and Simoes unfortunately
followed suit when he missed a chance that he was presented with.

One thing that worries me and don't misinterpret me. I worry that signing more Tuetonic players that the Coach knows, may cause problems within the dressing room. Surely there are players around the rest of the football family, we could sign. Again, not being racist or anti German/Austrian,just know how the workplace works.

Had the same conversation at the weekend before the game. I would assume that when Struber and Dane talk about signing players with the right qualities and of the right character, they mean players who are going to come in and enhance the dressing room rather than be a risk to it.

Every squad has little cliques. Ours are probably based on the nationalities, but as long as they're all still mingling and getting on with each other then it doesn't really matter.

I'm a natural worrier Ben,it was prompted by a camera shot of 3 subs warming up, Pipo,Ritz and Frieser together. I thought if you were a player who thinks they should be playing and the club buys another German/ Austrian, it might cause discord. Whereas someone from another UK club, possibly might not. It's all supposition and speculation on my part, knowing how difficult it is to keep a group of staff happy.

Is there any truth in our interest in him or have they genuinely mixed us up with Brentford
