    My thoughts exactly.

I was in Lille at the weekend. Their fans were just joyous at being where they were, and whilst there was a bit of banter with my other half (who insisted on still wearing his England jacket), it was no different to any banter any Barnsley fan would have given a bigger team.

Wales were superb, and their team spirit. very reminiscent of Barnsley's in the second half of the season. They played for each other. What stood out an absolute mile was the fact that their players worked endlessly for each other. Off the ball Gareth Bale worked his socks off, continually offering to receive throw ins, even when he knew he was closely marked. He just had the confidence to move the ball on. Robson Kanu, Bale, Allen and Ramsay were all outstanding. A far cry from the "Bale, One man team" I was expecting.

Far from being obsessed with England, (one chant of "Are you watching England?"), their renditions of their National Anthem, and Land of My Fathers and another one, were brilliant.

I'm not sure how anyone can actually rationalise congratulating Iceland, but not congratulating Wales. So what if their fans give England stick? England deserve it.

I'd rather have an underdog British team in the Final, than a Portuguese team in which the best player thinks he's above it all. Ronaldo throwing a microphone in the lake has to be the most arrogant thing of the tournament.

    Come on Wales!

That's one of the biggest reasons I want them to win - to show the FA just how completely fcking useless their strategies have been for years now - and I include the formation of the Premier League in that. Wales's 3rd goal against Belgium was made in the Championship. I'd like to think what Wales have achieved, with a lot of decent (but hardly world class) ENGLISH players will make the FA sit up, take note, and open their minds. I'm not holding my breath mind.

    Personally I can't stand

Gareth Bale or Chris Coleman, never have liked either, and given their attitudes please don't tell me they would want England to win if the boot were on the other foot.

It's only arrogant if you decide to ignore the whole background of the story. Which you have blatantly done.

I think England fans are more like that wanting Wales to fail at every opportunity and I'm one of em.

I wanted them to do well at the start of the tournament, until their fans decided it was their god given right to be there and start acting like cnuts. Now I can only wish them nothing but misery. If only they'd acted with a bit of class like the Northern Irish, I'd still be wishing them well.

I'd be happy for them. They play with heart and spirit a bit like us in the second half of the season. The rest is just sour grapes.

And, it is only ignorance if you deliberately choose not to take things into account

    verb
refuse to take notice of or acknowledge; disregard intentionally.
So. if you like you can enlighten me on the background info that I "blantantly" am unaware of.....? I just thought Cristiano Ronaldo was being an @rse, because the filmed evidence looked like it; his track record points to it, and his behaviour on the pitch all tournament points to it.

Talking of arrogance though, as we were.....is this going to be a daily thing, you know you just being generally arsey with people on here? Maybe you and Cristiano have something in common?

He is very arrogant on the pitch, he's a very sore loser just like SAF was. Look up his history with said reporter.

Also, if you choose to take it as arrogance or being arsey, I'm afraid that's your issue not mine.

Sorry, I'm not finding much sympathy with Ronaldo just yet.

It might be your issue if people were continually reporting you to admin. Your name crops up pretty often. Just so you know.

Not asking anybody to show him sympathy, but the reporter was no angel in said instance.

Feel free to send me a list of the rules I've broken...

Ooooh, there should be a weekly list...I suggest every Sunday at 7pm to remind us of the old Top 40 radio progs.

Also a list of the angels who are so outraged would be interesting...

I had an awful night's sleep worrying I won't be able to stay top of this list until Sunday.
