Until the end of the Redskins game plus a phone call to my mate in DC to celebrate the win. I hope. "Watching" the game on Superbowl.com. Bit better than all those times I've spent watching Reds games on Teletext.

    Mate in DC eh? Nice!

Want to go back there - mainly to visit the Native American museum.

    Not got Sky then?

Massive **** up by the officials

Ruled that a Skins player hit Bucs player after the ball was dead following the Bucs failing to get a 1st down so they would have to punt.

Instead the Skins have a 15 yd penalty against them and Tampa get to keep possession.

Replay clearly shows that the Tampa player hit the Skins player but it wasn't a reviewable call.

If Tampa get a TD on this possession then Redskins have been robbed

Yeah, been over a few times and love it. First time I visited them was my first time in the states and I was at a conference in LA so I got the company to agree a stopover and they booked me flights back via DC. Didn't realise it was a 5 hour flight (Duh)!

I think the native american museum was "unavailable" when we were over as they were refurbing so we got a piss-poor display at a temporary location (smithsonian?) instead. Worth visiting in all its pomp, then?

No Sky, just a Sky dish to get UK TV & Radio. Mind you, bought a Quad LNB and a second digibox off e-bay tonight so may be able to wangle a Sky Sports subscription past the missus for my birthday . . . So long as I can watch the footie without interfering with her viewing of Taggart and Morse investigate Casualty@Holby / Sea of Souls with Judges Amy and John Deedes presiding, etc, etc, etc.

Native American museum has only recently opened, either in 2004 or 2005. Prior to that the "national" museum was in New York and a big disappointment,

Commentators now saying that Taylor spat at the Bucs player - bloody stupid when his team was getting the ball back.

Fortunately the Bucs couldn't take advantage

Your mate American or English and moved there? What's he do?

    RE: Aye

He's American, she's half American half Vietnamese and used to have dual English nationality until she failed to visit enough and lost it (stupid girl). Still, they're proud owners of BFC premiership shirts, as well as other assorted merchandise I've sent them over the years whether they appreciate it or not. They've both been to Oakwell and were members of the old mailing list for a while. So I'm doing my bit for the Reds's international brainwashing effort.

And another play ends in dismal failure . . .

    RE: National museum

I think it may just have been a temporary exhibit then, pending the opening of the museum. I remember the missus was keen to go and then we found out it wasn't open yet and we saw something else and were disappointed, but that the disappointment soon went with alcohol. As it does. Even if you've not drunk any since new year.

Some great museums in DC though (if you like that sort of thing)

The Holocaust museum is amazing and extremely moving.

I'm very interested in Native Americans so will definately get there at some point
