Bang on. It's a popularity seeking stunt, ill conceived and bound to come back and bite them on the arse.

 

Agree with the original poster. It's a difficult one, initially I see where they are coming from, punish those responsible and cut their benefits, after all why should taxpayers support people who just smash up their community....but on the other hand how does it help matters? You take away the only income they have and that makes them more likely to turn to crime to get by.
Theres no easy answer......so I'm glad I don't have to come up with one!

these sections of society are already marginalised to a massive extent, this doesn't justify the actions of the idiots but ideas such as this aren't the answer

 

What about employing all the so called unemplyed scroungers to collect all the unpaid..or avoided Taxes from the Tax dodgers...result unemployment reduced, country back on on its feet with the fat cats paying their due...simples

 

I don't think it's the right way

Because when they have been evicted they still have to go somewhere. You can't just spirit them away to a distant camp, although that would be a great idea.

Private housing is more expensive, so the welfare payments would have to go up and they wouldn't really feel the difference in their pockets would they? How do they survive without benefits, short of a compulsory job? And most importantly which poor unsuspecting communities end up saddled with others' troublesome cast offs? I don't want 'em near me!

I'm pretty sure that, deep in Whitehall somewhere, they will have already worked out all the strategies to deal with this.

I don't think it's fixable, it's embedded in vast amounts of society. Britains underclass is thriving, the last week proves this and the rest of the world is pissing themselves.

Trust me, this week has been international news and I'm talking main news, so it is making the world laugh. Businesses finding tax loop holes happens in every single country, the difference is these other countries aren't imploding like the UK.
