    yes was in the paper

and objectively even if he did leave at the end of the season i dont care. If he scores the goals to keep us up in the meantime then that will do just nicely. Barnsley are always going to be a selling club so wether you are right or wrong i dont care, all i care about is staying up

    Ah right

You repeat a rumour published in a Sunday rag so BFC have to publicise the details of a players contract?

Happens all the time, how stupid of me. (doh)

you are totally missing the point here I think

its just a damm choker that when ever we seem to get a good player or even one in our sights we always seem to lose out...... why. I do not know about you mate, but and a vast amont of others are sick of third rate standards, we have the trappings of a good championship club.... but have a board who seem totally obsessed with a bank statement. Ok Ok we had admin a few years back, but for gods sake can they not see that unless the quality is there then the fanbase will not be either.... and so a lapse to those times is a stark possibility... Its not a loyalty thing as I and others will be there come what may, BUT it is a marketing thing, the hard core will remain... but where are the new fans coming from, how the hell can they expect to attract new fans when they serve up lacklustre and seemingly ambitionless fare that we are presently getting.

Had a thought about this before jumping on either side... but realistically...

Stan has started to make headlines, so inevitably papers start talking... but...

If GS (as you wished) spoke out publicy, then this would confirm what the papers are saying and then clubs may scramble a bit quicker and unsettle the player(s).

Now if he started to make headlines on his OWN, then it would take a few weeks longer before things started getting unsettled.

That may not make sense, but I know what I am trying to say....

in other words, I don't care if he says summat or not, as long as stan is in a red shirt come the next match, I couldn't give 2 hoots what a paper says (or a scout for that matter)

Which scout? Put up or shut up. The rumour only came about because a bored reporter saw mccarthy in Oakwell watching a game when wolves were without and commented he was a good laiker

Even the 'football rumours' website would be embarrassed to put this one in print.

Ferenczi plays the game for BFC as though he has suddenly discovered - after much searching - a great football club, well supported (compared to who he has played for in the past at least) and a bunch of fans who already idolise him. He has been in this country less than 2 months but has settled in well at the club and has opnely stated he likes living in 'tarn'.

McIndoe was a different kettle of fish - a player with arguably Prem Quality who had fallen out with his club. Enter BFC and - rather than not sign him- we have to put the clause in the contract and hope no one comes in. Player power once again. Ferenczi however - as far as I know - was hardly the most sought after player - and wait a minute - he has only played 7 times for us. Who in their right mind would sign a 29 year old journeyman on the strength of 7 first team performances? Likewise, was Ferenczi ever in such a position - a la McIndoe - to insist on such a clause?

very good points, very well put.

I hope he stays , I hope there is no such clause.I hope no deal is on the cards....but with this club of ours nothing now surprises me, but they sure as hell annoy me.

He's already played for 2 clubs this season

So would need FIFA dispensation to play for a 3rd. (ala Mascherano)
