    Article says Ward turned a move to us down............? not as I remember it

    Both his agent and SD said it was mututal.

    From our side, we weren't prepared to gamble both a big transfer fee and wages for an unproven injury prone striker from the fourth division, who was having a good run.

    Let Sheff U take the gamble...... but not sure they need him as they have similar player in Billy Sharp...... and he's certainly no match / or replacement for Beattie...... Perhaps if they do get him they may allow Billy Sharp to leave? Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Red shirt!
