It doesn't matter who we get; if he's successful he'll be gone in less than 1 year, if he's not, he'll be gone in less than 6 months.

But Tosh, your argument is based on wanting Mellon appointing, so is easier to say we are "moving positively towards Mellon".

As time passes by, I get more nervous that our Plan B does not exist, or they can't execute it......and that Mellon becomes the natural choice.

I've nowt against Mellon, but feel the Club has a great opportunity to show ambition and change.......but they don't appear to be grasping it.

some need to stop panicking here, its only ten days since flicker was sacked,we arnt the only club to have gone this length of time without announcing anything.

as for mandarin,i'll bet he regrets even setting foot inside Hillsborough,he thought he'd be knocking on the premier league door by now.

Whilst all this secrecy is going on, the board ought to be asking MM formally to apply for the post if he is interested. It is no good just letting him have the job if we don't get someone else in. If he applies, he will have to set out his plan along side the others and it may do him good to think about how to solve the club's immediate problems to turn round results, as well as devising a longer term strategic plan to develop the club over the next two/three years. I am all for allowing MM a fair chance, but he ought to go through the same hoops as any others applying.
