But not to even put him on the bench...

probably get slated but if Nardiello had the chance late on that Hayes had, I think we might be booking our hotels in Cardiff

RE: Wasnt the game for Nardiello on Sat

And does this not raise another point about us being able to impose our game on teams?

    Leader required. Still.

    That challenge to stop Hayes

wouldve broken Nardiello in half. Terry, nay Beckenbauer wouldve been proud of it.

    Fair enough.

Some would argue that Nardiello would have been quicker...

I'm still convinced that he's got goals in him.

    RE: Fair enough.

No striker at this level would have got his shot off before the tackle came in. One of those occasions where the opposition deserve credit. </p>

Nardiello and Devaney from Official Site

BARNSLEY striker Daniel Nardiello should be fit for Saturday's must-win clash with Bournemouth at Oakwell after missing last weekend's draw at Hartlepool United with a groin injury.

It was a big blow for the former Manchester United striker, who had started the last to matches after forcing his way back into the side.

Reds boss Andy Ritchie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk this morning: "Daniel was gutted to miss out but he felt his groin go a bit on Friday in training. To be honest he probably could have played at Hartlepool but there was a chance that the injury could have got a lot worse and he would have been out for a while.

"It is nothing too serious and he should be fit for Saturday with a couple of days rest".

BARNSLEY winger Martin Devaney is targeting a return to action against AFC Bournemouth after struggling to recover from a dead leg in time for Saturday's draw with Hartlepool.

Martin picked up the problem in the first half at Brentford and had not recovered enough to line up at Victoria Park.

Reds boss Andy Ritchie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk this morning: "Martin did not feel that he was completely ready and over the injury in time for Saturday. He should be fine this week with a couple of days rest".
