Was thinking how much we could have done with Moncur.....

I really hope so. Like I said earlier, we might need to push him a bit, perhaps put him on the bench.

Of course, no idea how far off actual fitness he is.

 

He played five games for us two years ago. The first was poor and the rest were adequate. In the division below. He's never played at this level but some folk are talking about him as if he's the second coming. Saying that, I hope he turns out to be bloody brilliant.

 

I haven't seen anyone say anything along those lines, mate. But then, I don't get the chance to use the forum much these days. I've seen him in some of the 23s games and he looks promising. He's only 23 at the end of the month. Believe me, if he wasn't much cop, he wouldn't still be here. I have no more insight than that. I'd suggest a place on the bench isn't far away, considering our lack of options at present, with injuries to White, Janko, Payne etc, plus Scowen's suspension and Moncur being away on loan.

 

Most fans saw the potential in those games where you say he was adequate and there was a lot of fans more than happy with the adequate signing .

 

Perhaps you do. Can't help suspecting you'd prefer to be proven right though.

 

Looked good in the 2 games I saw him play! Hope he's going to make a comeback soon - certainly playing more for the under 23s! No sense in rushing him back after this long out though - need to make sure he's 100% ready to go again or it might completely ruin his career
