Wasn't Ryan Williams injured when we signed him?

There is a huge difference between fans saying he'd be a good signing and forcing the club to sign him whilst injured due to fans demanding it

I wanted him but if we could cancel his contract now I'm afraid I would.
Obviously more to this than were being told.

My argument still stands whether they hoped, asked, demanded - it's irrelevant. The fans universally approved of the signing and now some fans are criticizing the signing. That's my argument, not the semantics.

I'm not aware of the extent of his current injuries so can't really make an informed decision. But if there's a chance he'll play for us again this season then I think it's a risk worth taking. He's exactly what we need, some drive and impetuous.

Your argument is that fans who had no idea he was injured approved of a signing but when they have discovered he was signed injured their opinion changed? Isn't that normal? For peoples opinion to change with knowledge?

I wasn't. I genuinely had no idea. Thought he'd had a hernia operation back in November which generally takes a couple of months to get over. I wasn't aware there were any further problems. If I had known, I personally wouldn't have signed him until he could prove his fitness.

Cancelling the contract is different not not actually signing him. We've already invested a lot of money in him.

I remember reading that he'd been unveiled at the open day and I was delighted. Within a minute or two though, I read that he was a couple of weeks off being available after a recent injury.

That 'couple of weeks' is something I've heard repeated for the last three months.

Folk have come back from leg breaks quicker.

Wouldn't be cancelling his contract though, and doubt that's even a possibility.

Spot on blivy. Some would argue black's white on here. He was a popular signing amongst fans and one that many wanted us to get in. Fact.
