RE: people just going to big events It's not what the club needs, the club needs more fans in Oakwell and not Cardiff. If we had have had these people coming through the gates we would have had more money, so we could have had a better squad and gone up as champions. Giving us a better chance next season, and the club been in a better situation all round.
RE: Name calling, very classy You can hardly hold an eleven year old boy as partly responsible for that.
You may be a live by the sword - die by the sword "fan" - and that's your choice.
But choice is what it's all about. Your attitude is almost like one of forcing people to follow a particular religion.
Loosen up.

So does it really matter we take their money... they get to see Barnsley win (which we will ) and maybe some will stay on again for next year. Shut your ears and nod at the part timers... at least you know you go and support them that's all that matters. and thanks for the compliment back "If you can't comprehend my point you must be a you know what"... Season Ticket holder for the past 10 years.. works being manic this year and i've not been able to get to 5 or 6 home games due to not even being in the country but yes I will still buy my season ticket.
RE: people just going to big events These extra fans are still giving us EXTRA REVENUE and EXTRA SUPPORT in our biggest game for six years, what's wrong with that? Yes it'd be lovely if they all filled Oakwell every week, but this doesn't HARM us does it?
But these people aren't staunch Barnsley fans They're going for summat out of the ordinary. They don't want to go to a football game every week. It's not their bag. So should that mean they can't go to support their local team in a big event? Can't see how it hurts anyone.
'Shut your ears and nod at the part timers' That will never happen, especially if i'm surrounded by them shout stuff like 'Come on Barnard' or 'Get Dyer on'
'but this doesn't HARM us does it' We nearly went bust and then nearly went bust again, i would say it does harm us.
You're right, obviously. If we'd only taken 8000 to Wembley, we'd be European Champions by now and fighting off Galacticos with a shitty-stick.
RE: So what you're saying is If you read my posts then you would know, i have said a few games a season would be good, lots better than none for years. Just think if the 20000 final fans just made an effort and came to a few games a season, that would be a huge boost.
No it doesn't It doesn't harm us that people who aren't necessarily devoted to BFC like me and thee want to go to Cardiff to watch them. They won't come regularly to Oakwell for whatever reason regardless of this game. Yes it would be great if they all came to every game, but it aint going to happen. Every club our size is the same - their support suddenly trebles for a final. There's nothing wrong with it. What you're saying is that we could have done with their money for league games - yes we could - but the fact that they're now going to the Final is NOT harming the club, only helping it.
We will win Chill... Think it's great we've even got here my expectations for the this year just about put us in 10th place so I will be well happy when we win at Cardiff... If we keep some of the people that jump on the band wagon all the better... them that go back to laughing when we lose on a weekend can take a flying leap ... but I'd gladly take their money every few years to help the club more fool them for missing out on a far better season that I could have ever imagined.... I've taken my Godson a few times this year (he's 7 and I am trying to keep him away from the darkside of far away clubs like man u) and I've manged to talk his parents into getting a under 11 season ticket next year now. (after all I need someone to wheel me to the match when I get older) Can't take him to Cardiff though cos his parents seem to think going on Holiday for spring term is more important... fools ff
