Yes. They do.

But equally dim and dangerous are those who won't even acknowledge that we have an immigrant crimewave.

    very true

I think the BNP appeals as much to the disaffected Labour voter as it does to the disaffected Tory voter. Probably more so.

    RE: very true

I know someone who thought the Tories quota system for immigrants was " a disgrace" and had voted BNP in last year's local elections.

There's a massive job on to re-engage the public as a whole in politics generally. And it won't be achieved by wanting to stifle debate about parties like the BNP or just tut tutting at people who vote for them. Let's have the BNP out in the open, addressing the public and answering questions. Get Nick Griffin on TV, being interviewed.

At the same time, it'd be nice for the main parties to actually find out what people want, not be ruled by dogma or backhanders.

    RE: Yes. They do.

Are immigrants more likely to be criminals?

Are blacks more likely to be criminals?

Are poor people more likely to be criminals?

Was there any crime before immigration?

If so, was that crime okay, cos it was good old anglo-saxon crime?

What the main parties want is to be in power, doesn't really matter what the policies are, as long as they get into number 10. Its a game, to get that far in politics corrupts and it's power that is the drug.

    just my 2 pence....

    Quote from the article

"The British National Party's pursuit of seats in next month's local elections is built on false claims designed to create racial prejudice and irrational fears among voters, according to anti-BNP activists"

now I want to re-iterate a line in that sentence.....

    "according to anti-BNP activists"

so, its normal then, one set of people claiming the others are lying.

I am not trying to suppot the BNP far from it.

But you also say Trash like the sun blah etc...

So this the only paper ever speaks the truth then?

No matter which way you look at it, politics is always the same. It will never change. The parties not in power, will only highlight the failings of those in power. Those in power, will always highlight that the ones not in power, are not in posession of the full facts.

Democracy only does one thing. Confuse/Lie and distribute B*ll*cks just so that someone can tick a box and hopefully keep them in a job.

There is hardly ever any praise on what a government in power has actually achieved.

Now why can't they grow up like adults, and discuss between them (all parties), solutions that will actually benefit everyone....

    because thats politics.

    Not in my ward!

Voted this morning and was chuffed that there was no BNP candidate. Although I didn't fancy voting for Lib Dem, Conservative or Labour so was left with only one choice.

They have as much right to canvass

And I've as much right to call them a set of racist thugs and tell them where to go.

Heard today about one canvassing around Smithies area and getting quite a bit of short shrift including the person telling me who said they just opened the door, the guy said "BNP love, will you be voting for us", to which the response in "Shameless" style was "Racist Barstewards" and slammed the door.

Not "who should have been deported" but who should have faced a deportation hearing.
