Speed Cameras Didn't know until today that the film for them was quite a distance underground. Saw it on the news where the chap was caight for blowing a camera up. It also got a film of him doing the dirty deed.
RE: Balls man Tesco display notices in their car parks stating a max parking time of 3hrs. They state that they will check with DVLA to find details.
There are moves afoot to outlaw such devices uncluding those which are used to log speed over a long stretch of road.
Its possible they could be banned for "human rights" issues.

Let us hope, then That such moves are successful. Then Uncle Tony's hideous taxation idea of tagging the vehicles of innocent civilians cannot be implemented.
RE: Balls man It's not the driver they're looking at - it's the car. They can know absolutely now whether a car is taxed and insured as all the insurance companies provide details to the Police National Computer as do the DVLA. As such, if the driver is disqualified it's an extra bonus. There are new powers which mean that uninsured cars can be removed from the road and unless claimed within a certain time (insured and appropriate fine paid) the car is scrapped! You need to remember that the people who use the roads dishonestly are also more likely to be breaking other laws - such as handling stolen goods, drive offs from petrol stations, burglary, moving illegal drugs from one county to another etc. Automatic Number Plate Reading (ANPR) technology is brilliant. I'm not a big supporter of the speeding cameras though.
To those who say Law abiding citizens have nothing to fear How do you feel about being forced to carry an identity card with a built in tracking device - or even better still having a chip implanted into you. As long as you are behaving within the law the police knowing your exact wherabouts and who you are with at all times must be a good thing surely best quote I read recently was George Orwell wrote a warning - not an instruction manual
