Completely agree with this. Attacking players like Phillips & Keillor-Dunn seem to get loads of criticism despite scoring & assisting plenty. Yet I come on here to often read how amazing our defenders even after making individual errors. We’ve scored plenty but unfortunately conceded plenty too yet if you come on here most weeks you would think our issues were the other way round.
Fair play ,maybe you have more confidence in our defence than me. That is how I see it , work out our average goals per game conceded . It's not a good look on reflection. Agreed, we have had a decent run ,however prior to that our defending on the whole as been poor. Not just this season, but a good 2 years now since we lost quality defenders and replaced with players to improve with time . That isn't happening quickly and concludes to the fact we have conceded 33 goals in the League .
With the exception of the Orient game, I don’t think we’ve been too bad of late. No clean sheets admittedly, but the goals conceded against Exeter & Posh were courtesy of a deflected free kick and a dodgy penalty, We defended doggedly against Wrexham in the face of a second half onslaught. Considering the concern about losing Earl & Roberts, we’ve done better than I expected.
