Well he obviously won't go to West brom then to play under a manager who just instructed the team to bypass him, he will have plenty of other teams interested so if it hindered his game so much no chance he will join val, or is there?
Who knows, maybe Val will employ a different tactic now he's got better players and a relatively large transfer budget to work with?
Not sure why chance if its working for you hard tactic to play against. The players showed no sign that the tactic was holding them back seemed like they loved playing for him all spoke very highly of him.
I know, but I think he organised us the way he did because of the standard of players at his disposal, if he's got better players now I can see there being some tweaks to his style, if he can get the same level of intensity out of WBA as he did with us they'll be absolutely devastating this season. And the players commitment to Val was never in question.
I hope he stays. I don't think he will. I did think we would have heard one way or another by now with pre season training starting Monday.
Everyone keeps on about £25k wages. I personally think those days are numbered. Apart from a very select few. (Forgetting the premier) Especially in the championship . will be trimming their cloth. So many clubs realising money doesn’t guarantee promotion. Wendies, last time I looked, OWE £12m in unpaid wages. Covid and loss of revenue will put paid to that.
Callum Styles is a good young player but the idea he’s just going to move into central midfield in one of the most intense leagues there is & seamlessly take over from one of the best players we’ve had this century is optimistic to say the least.
Agree, whilst I like Styles out wide, I dont think central midfield in the Championship is for him and nowhere near the standard of Mowatt.
