I think there was a lot of individual poor performances today, I don't need to name them as I'm sure we all know. But...... A point I wasn't expecting so that's what counts.
It was a definite possibility we could have lost. There'd have been the usual hell on if we had but we were playing a top four team away. We drew. Good point, keeps them adrift of us. A win would have been a fantastic result. A draw is fine. If we're good enough we'll stay ahead of Sunderland. If we're not we won't.
Sunderland had two games in hand at HOME drew both as we all know v Blackpool and Accrington so we can expect anything we don't have a devine right to win.
In the the context of the match alone - yes a draw was a fair result. In the context of the season........ mmmm a win would have been wonderful, stating the obvious I know!
Happy with that....caught them out of form and sorts. Good away point, without our top scorer .....who is a big miss.
Yes very happy with that especially after having pen awarded against us . Put it behind us get keiffer back fit and we will be fine imo
Brilliant point, any point away from home against any of the top six clubs is a point gained, and 2 lost by them. C.O.Y.R.
It wouldn’t have been if Portsmouth had won and we’d beaten burton though - they’d have gained points on us. As it is they didn’t.
I wish we could have got at them more to be honest, and remember they were 'there for the taking!'. Toby wants a rocket as well for the rash challenge which almost cost us dear. But to answer the question.. yes I'm more relieved than happy, but it was vital that we didn't lose.
I was expecting us to win Portsmuf - they are on a downer so we should be beating teams like them. Very disappointed.
The one thing going in our favour is that on paper Sunderland have the toughest run in out of the top three. However, if they've got real momentum by that point then it may not matter. Let's just hope they go back to drawing games!!
But we wouldn't have lost points to Sunderland. Just making a general observation about unbeaten runs. I remember the year we went down with a 12 game unbeaten run under our belts.
Yes and no. I would always take a draw at Pompey because it's one of those places we don't often get owt, plus it keeps them 5 points behind us. Happy to have had something to celebrate, even if it was a penalty save rather than a goal. Not as much unhappy as frustrated with the performance, because as usual we had the lions share of possession and more shots, but we rarely got into their penalty box, and repeatedly lost the ball in some really promising positions. Today seemed like a continuation of Tuesday against Burton. Need Moore back asap.
Happy with the draw. Not even concerned with the draw against Burton. The performances are a little worrying though. If we're honest, we haven't looked like top two material these last couple of games. If the performances improve the results will look after themselves.
