    I cant remember any guilt edged chances. It kept breaking down at the edge of the box. Woodrow had a couple of tame efforts near the end and we won a few corners through deflected passes.

    Epitomy of how **** we are was when Thomas burst through the middle got the defender to commit, it opened up for a free hit at goal and he tried a ***** through ball for Styles which was intercepted.

    I said to Laura do they realise they're one nowt down and staring relegation in face.

    I remember watching Brian Mahoney (1972-75). We certainly had width up front then.

    His Wikipedia entry reads: "He was quite a stout gentleman, somewhat in the mould of Franny Lee."

    The chronicle match report once read..... Brian Mahoney turned on half a crown he's too big to turn on a sixpence and and he let fly with a unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner of the goal...... Think it was against Rochdale.... Lol happy days
