Only one stat that counts and thats the league position. I find it odd that some people pick and choose must win vs not must win. A Man City spokesperson recently said ‘every game is a must win’. I wonder if our coaches and players have this same mentality as its whats needed to win stuff. I hope so.

Right now we seem to be lacking in character and depth of quality in the squad. But we have the ability and away form to still do well. Do we have the application mentally and physically game in game out? That 7 games could easily become 10 or are the odds to stay at 7? Im not sure we still have the momentum which seems to be important from easter onwards but lets see.

We have to play with the hand we are dealt and we will know in only a couple of months if we are good enough.

To get top two we have to go on a run of wins that we haven't managed to do all season.I'd say at least 7 from the last ten and hope the nerves kick in with the others.
Id say 7 wins a couple of draws and one more defeat puts us on 90 points.. fairly sure 90 will put anyone in second spot this season..
    Wins
Carlisle Cheltenham Cambridge Burton Reading Northampton.. which is 6.. we should beat these if we realistically want top two..
That leaves a win and two draws at Pompey Charlton Stevenage and Blackpool

Can we do it ?.. yes... Will we do it.. if I take my red glasses off and look how we've been playing all season, then it would have to be a no. Because it would take such an up serge in consistency we have seen since last season under Duff

I actually thought that consistency would come with Pines adding some pace and physicality to our backline.

With him out its hard to make a case for a sudden upturn in form. We are still in with a shout, need to win the next two games to bounce back from the Lincoln debacle.

No mate I don't see it neither.. I see a couple of minefields in those 6 must wins tbh.. hope to be proved wrong but I expect more of what we've already seen. Flattering to deceive, unimpressive performances and in the end fall short with say a fifth placed 84 points-ish.

Haven't we lost 2 games in about 20 odd. That to me is showing battling qualities and consistancy.
