    Watching Mallan and McGeehan for the U23s on Friday, both are way off the first team. However, I don't think Josh Kay is, he was terrific.
    it is a pity that we do not have a league cup game on Tuesday to give some players a run out

    Agree with that. I am hoping McGeehan was just a case of not going full throttle and finding fitness. Mallan just didn't get in the game on the right wing first half, looked better second half.

    Trouble with U23s is it's hard to know what the opposition are like. Are Colchester a good team at that level? Or are they poor.

    Final ball was, similar to first team on Saturday, woefully lacking.

    Josh Kay certainly was the stand out player.
