***** innit. Pure greed on behalf of Cellino and he's not alone. Pricing people out of 2nd tier football is scandalous.
This is problem I have we have been playing so well of late and I'm confident of a result there already and I want to go and support the lads and get behind them but that fee is taking the piss if we had a bunch of players who weren't bothered like Dawson n break Shea n frimpong ect I'd get behind a boycott but the effort they give they deserve a good backing I'm in 2 minds. Makes it abit more bare able knowing they will be charged same at our place.
I'm sure the players will understand as a one off. Anyway it won't work anyway it's a waste of time trying to sort anything.
I don't go to loads of away games so not sure whether my non-attendance counts as boycotting it. But I think the fact that I've not watched us at Elland Road since 2007 despite having lived in Leeds for 7 years speaks volumes, especially when I'm a season ticket holder at Oakwell. Prices at Leeds have been obscene for far too long, even before Cellino. Now Premier League away tickets are capped at £12 less, there's no excuse to charge that for a second tier match. And the players know how behind them we are, and that a reduced following would be no reflection on them.
Tickets bought today for Leeds game but agree prices are ridiculous. To be honest I expected to be charged more than £37 this season at Elland Road
That idea on the other thread sounds good. A boycott by those that want to/have no other choice and also a late walk-in after 10 minutes by those who can't bring themselves not to go. They could maybe sing something appropriate when they do come in.
I'm really up for boycotting as you can guess. I fully understand the reasons for people in 2 minds with the team in such a good place right now and believe me when I say this that it will kill me not to go but I am fed up of clubs just charging what they want and not thinking about anyone else but the clubs or owners bank balance. Football without fans is nothing. It's not just because it's Leeds, but it's a good place to start with Leeds being the first fixture to charge this ludicrous amount. We have the idea, we just need the tools and people to help the word spread. Obviously people have still bought a ticket and plan to go but something out in the public domain to let the people know that there is a club willing to make a stand against this and then it's upto the people to then decide. Let's get the idea out there tho and get people to take notice. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
For the return fixture at Oakwell, I'd like to see the club make it an A* game at £36 a pop for Leeds fans but we charge a tenner for Reds fans...I believe we're allowed to do this a few times a season...ie the Forest game. Unfair on Leeds' fans I know, but a statement needs to made.
The problem is that WE are as bad as them. Our highest category for this season is £37. We can't cry when somebody else charges us that. Well we can but it is a bit daft to try to organise a protest at a club charging that amount without also protesting at OUR club for charging it. Better than protesting against Leeds would be to get together WITH similarly innocent and ****** over Leeds fans and organise a boycott of BOTH games. No pay on the day fans from Leeds to attend, no away fans from Barnsley. And for the return leg no Leeds fans to come and nobody from tarn to pay on the day.
********. It's not us charging the prices, it's BFC. The fans don't have a say in it I'm afraid. Loads of tarn fans have already complained about the current pricing structure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bfc already said pre season that we have contacted clubs about a pre arrangement for ticket prices for both games and some gave a "flat NO!". Bfc are trying to negotiate with clubs. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Don't know why you're going after me for. Our very own supporters trust aren't backing it so we have no authorative group behind it, so it doesn't have much power. Plus many would still go if it was 100 quid a ticket so i'm sure we will still take 2k there.
I know it's bfc, that's why I said that we should start with dealing with problems at home before kicking off about others doing to us what we, sorry bfc, do to them
Your right but hence the Flexi ticket coming in. I fully agree that any club in general charging that amount is wrong. So far we haven't charged it but we need to start somewhere Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
No, the flexi ticket is the opposite of this. The flexi ticket is a way to screw away fans without harming home fans. Why is it OK to screw away fans? Why is that accepted in humanity? It isn't me so **** em. Btw Prices that newcastle are charging away fans: Norwich fans: £27 Brentford fans:£27 Ipswich fans: £27 Wolves fans: £27 Brighton fans: £27 Huddersfield fans: £27 Reading fans: £27 Prices that Barnsley charge Newcastle fans: £30/£32 How is that reciprocal?
For once I agree completely. It's **** to exploit people whether they are our supporters or not. Twenty is plenty
