just to add to my earlier reply, there is a news article today that says if brexit party hadn't stood then over 20 more labour seats would have gone to the tories

"seats like Hartlepool, Rotherham and Barnsley Central as examples of where Labour held on but where between '70 and 90 per cent of Brexit Party voters said they would vote Conservative if it was a two-horse race"

So you'd rather have a Tory MP, because you think the Tories are more likely to look after their own.

This is an acceptable view of our government in 2019 - Vote for us or you'll suffer more (scandalous really)

It was about brexit for sure. I can't count the number of times I shouted at the TV when some Labour spokesperson said the election wasn't all about brexit. Of course it f*****g was!!!
I'm Labour through and through, but if they really didn't think it was all about brexit,, I'm not sure they deserved to win the election.

It’s not about what they believed; it’s simply a feeble attempt to shift the focus. It failed, but it was the only possible strategy, because - obviously whilst it was about Brexit they had no hope.
Which is why the next step shouldn’t be to jump too quickly. It’s crap; but they can’t ‘win’ the Brexit argument. They can only stand back and watch where the country lands in a post Brexit world that’ll need someone to offer a better future.
