There is more to winning games than scoring 3,4 5 i loved it today and this post is bang on IMO I thought we defended really well we could and should have scored more , but we kept a clean there are no mugs of teams in this league and defending is a massive part of the game , i think this team is the best i have seen in 20 years, fans at the start of season would have been happy with just staying up, or dare to believe a top half finish, but I reckon Hecky will have these lads looking up towards the top 6, he wont admit that but these lads are used too winning . Aim for the top and see where we end up, COYR

He plays for Barnsley of course he needs to work on his game. Thanks for pointing it out in capitals you've done well.

Of course he does, all of the team does, but does me saying his kicking was poor mean I'm bemoaning him

Christ on a bike, regardless of whether he kept a clean sheet or not his kicking was poor, didn't effect the result today but it may do on the future. There's no point just ignoring it because we kept a clean sheet because it may cost us a clean sheet in another game

Yes ok I may be bemoaning them but all I've said is his kicking was poor and now 3 seperate posters have twisted it to make it out like I'm having a go at him for having a sterling game were other than his kicking he can't be faulted

We weren't fantastic by any stretch of the imagination. We were just better than Blackburn. Who i thought were awful. We're not going to play good football every week though so praise goes to the players for grabbing an ugly win in awful conditions.

People live in a world of hyperbole. I thought we played ok rode our luck and Davies kept us in it. There was a consistency of performance as you say lots of 7s. No one was anywhere near a perfect performance. In fact after watching us for 40 years I have probably seen 5 or 6 such performances. Davies was great pulled off two exceptional saves and did the rest of his work adequately. Failed to control his area and had to make some of the great saves following hesitation fans not coming out to claim crosses and his kicking was poor. In the scheme of things these are minor quibbles in fantastic performance but a player who plays perfectly has little or no errors.

Good job some of us kept the faith with SSW...

Anyhoo minor quibbles aside I'm proud of our lads another great 90 minutes of entertainment.

Apart from the guy who sits behind me who likes to berate him constantly throughout every game and called him a 'waste of space' today not long after his goal.

I thought you were driving him to Ipswich. Shouldn't really be on your phone.

I have a similar one. I asked him today what the main job of a centre forward is. He says to 'score goals' as he ranted at Sam. Priceless.

To be fair you're not quite as bad as the eejit who thought we should be playing Stefan Payne and that Sam should be 5th choice striker.

Lovely finish by Marley today. He's become a very confident finisher. Contributing more goals this year. As for Sam anyone who scores the goals he does would always be first choice to anyone who knows football and Hecky showed what we all do that he does.

It's bizarre that Davies can make save after save but some fans (not necessarily on here) just choose to moan about his kicking. It's like Steele all over again and it does my head in.

If we played poor , I can't wait to watch us when we are excellent . Thought it was a good entertaining game and we played well in patches .
