Not that I've ever been married or intend to get married - BUT I've been to lots of weddings in mi time and the best have been relatively simple do's in pubs Its not the venue that counts - its the atmosphere at the venue. So called posh do's at posh venues can soon fall flat and boring. So if I ever did get married I quite fancy upstairs in Durty O'Dwyers with a Ceili band playing upstairs or even in the Arcade on a Saturday night and if guests want a bit of a change there's all of Market Hill to go at.
During my last speech as Best Man I did a 3 minute piece on the migratory habits of Canadian Geese. I'm not even joking. I've told her Nan I can't make the wedding. It would be uncomfortable as I've nailed them both. At the same time. Awkward.
Can recommend Waterton Park - Walton Hall. Think they got big rooms for a doo. Lovely setting and our Day theer was perfect!!!!
