    Puts GS in a sticky situation. He clearly doesn't want to offer AR a new contract yet. If we lose the next 3 he'll be under pressure to sack him anyway.

    Frm Ritchie's point of view I'm sure he'd love a 3 year contract. He's more likely to get offered that security at Wednesday's than here.

    The thing is...

    I don't see whats wrong with offering AR a fairly long contract, assuming he's wanted by the admin at Oakwell. Dave Allen has shown what value a contract is- Sturrock signs a 4 year deal, then gets sacked a month later, walking away with just a year's salary.</p>

    Give Andy a long deal, but a limit to compo if he's sacked. </p>
